The Story of Byfar Coffee Syrup
and
The Beverly Beverage Company
Byfar Coffee Syrup was the premiere product of the Beverly Beverage Company of Beverly, Mass. The syrup was added to milk to create a distinctly New England beverage which, like Moxie, was optimistically referred to as “an acquired taste”. Other coffee milk syrups, such as Autocrat and Eclipse, survived the post-war years, but the last anybody heard of the Beverly Beverage Company was when it was bought and absorbed by a larger European conglomerate, eventually disappearing entirely. |
